Jim
McDonald Biography
Jim has been teaching Physical
Education and Health in grades K-9 for 15 years. He works with
minorities and "high risk" students in a low income area. He has a
BA Degree in Physical Education and History. For the last 12 years
Jim has been the Athletic Director/Coach for West Fresno Middle
School where he teaches Health and Physical Education, as well as
coaching Cross Country, Girls and Boys Volleyball, Basketball,
Wrestling and for the past seven years an undefeated Flag Football.
He has served on the Workshop Committee for the last 5 years in the
areas of greeter, tournament co-chairman, photography, video and many
more. We celebrate his accomplishments.
This course provides
background and knowledge in the history, rules, fundamentals, drills,
and methodology of teaching flag football that support the California
Physical Education Framework. Strategies for grouping co-educational
classes, establishing tournament bracketing, awards ideas, running
intramural program, and other enrichment ideas for implementing the
concept of fun in a flag football unit will be addressed.
Participants will be required to bring their tennis shoes and workout
clothes, and be prepared to have fun.
