Sue Kirby
Biography
Sue has been involved
with the Workshop for 10 years, eight of those as a Committee member.
She has chaired the Tournament Committee twice, and has served on
Welcome and Hospitality Registration and Special Events Committees
also. She has taught a Weight Training course at Workshop three
years, at the Middle School PE Conference once, and was a presenter
at CAHPERD in 1998.
Sue has been teaching
Physical Education and English for 16 years at Wheatland High School
in Northern California. During that time she has coached a variety of
Varsity sports, including Softball, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, and
most recently, Golf. She was chosen Softball Coach of the Year in
1998 for the Northern CIF Section. In her spare time she works as an
ACE certified personal trainer in the Roseville area.
Trish
Peisner Biography
Trish has been a Physical
Educator and Coach for 18 years. She began her teaching career at
University High in West Los Angeles as the Health Department Chair,
teaching health and physical education classes, while coaching
basketball and softball. She recently moved to the San Diego City
School District, where she is currently teaching at Kearny High
School as a full-time Physical Educator and the coach of the Boy's
Tennis Team. Trish received her Bachelors degree and teaching
credential from San Diego State University and is currently working
to complete a Master's of Education in Physical Education. Trish has
been a participant in the Physical Education Workshop at Cal Poly
beginning in 1983, and has been an active committee member for the
last 4 years.
Sue and Patty need your
help in creating the 2001 Workshop. As we D.R.I.V.E. into the 21st century, Daring, Rigorous,
Imaginative, Visionary
and Empowering
programs will lead the way. They need your input in planning the
curriculum and staff that will help both Physical Education and the
Workshop to continue to grow and change. The future is now, and you
