Nancy
Zeiszler Biography
Currently teaching
activity classes at Evergreen Valley College, Nancy has taught golf,
tennis, volleyball and weight training for the past six years.
Before teaching at EVC, she spent 13 years teaching at the high
school level. During that time she coached the golf team at Bear
Creek High School, and has also coached volleyball, basketball, and
softball. She has served as president of CAHPERD unit 303, as State
Coordinator of Girls and Women in Sports Day, and as CAHPERD Vice
President of Girls and Women in Sports. Nancy has given professional
presentations at state and national conferences, and has most
recently published an article in Nov/Dec 1998 GWS News, "A Path Too
Many Have Traveled: Title IX-A Personal Reflection." Nancy has
attended the workshop continuously form 1982-1997, has taught
Volleyball at the Workshop, and was the Cal Poly Workshop Director in
1996.
Golf offers a lifetime of
challenge and joy. Previous experience is not necessary to be
successful in this class. During this course you will develop basic
swing techniques using irons and woods and learn the basic mechanics
of pitching, shipping and putting. This class will help you get off
the tee, down the fairway, on the green, and in the hole! New and
exciting teaching methods, progressions, gadgets, gimmicks, and
drills will be shown to help you instruct your students, while at the
same time improve your own game.
